The problem
17jun trailquip trailer coupling

Trailequip has recalled its C2755 and C2765 trailer couplings. The rear locking nut may loosen over time, which could cause your trailer to detach from the coupling body.

Trailparts over-ride hydraulic coupling models C2755 and C2765 are affected. They were sold by Trailequip Ltd from Feb 2016 to Feb 2017.

What to do

If you have one of the affected couplings, contact Trailequip to organise a replacement coupling.

Your coupling is safe to use to move the trailer to a repair location once you have checked that the large rear locking nut is tight on the coupling shaft and flush with the end of the shaft, as shown in the second image.
