The problem

The lithium-ion battery may overheat which could cause a fire and burn the user.


ThinkPad models T510, X201, X201s and Edge 13 sold between October 2010 and April 2011.

What to do

  • Turn off the computer, remove the battery and only power the computer through the AC adaptor and power cord.
  • Visit the Lenovo battery recall page to see if you are affected and arrange for a free replacement, or phone Lenovo on 0508 201 650.
