This follows news the owner of the 2 New Zealand stores has gone into receivership.
The stores are still open and accepting gift cards despite Top Retail, the operator of the licence for British fashion brands Topshop and Topman in New Zealand, now being in the hands of receivers McGrathNicol.
Kare Johnstone, from McGrathNicol, said: “The redemption of gift cards has been made possible through the support of our shareholders. The cards may be used at both the Auckland and Wellington stores while these remain open for trading.”
But with no guarantee the stores will stay open and the cards not able to be used online, we think you’re best to use the cards before they potentially become useless.
Earlier this year, some Australian Topshop stores closed after the franchise had similar financial problems.
