Excellent for roasting food - whole chickens, pork (great crackling), potatoes, kumara, onions etc...
Great for camping, not too large and easy to transport.
The taste of the roasted food is excellent, best roast chicken ever.
Despite the cons below overall we are really happy with the BBQ, its portability and the taste of the food, however our old 4 burner BBQ was better at true hot plate BBQ'ing (fried onions, sausages, steak).
With only one burner there are times when it seems to lack a bit of power and take a while to heat up, has to be used with the hood down to retain the heat and a lot of heat is lost when the hood is opened to turn food. As a result the temperature is a bit variable, depending on what is being cooked, the wind and the heat of the day, the version with the thermometer in the hood is better if you want consistency.
It does steak well but a cast iron griddle pan on a gas flame will do a better job of eye fillet, perhaps due to the heat loss.
Maybe, it depends on what you're after.
