Great value Brand

Pros

I have several Victorinox knives, and a Victorinox potato peeler (Fabulous to use). No problem with the knife block because I use a magnetic knife strip on the wall which keeps the knives out of small hands. Lovely handles, well designed overall and affordable price for a quality brand. I have my knives sharpened by a professional occasionally - Dad was a butcher and drummed into my brothers and I the benefits of a good sharp knife. I have a couple of other brands in my knife collection but only the Zwilling can compare to the Victorinox.

Cons

Absolutely nothing to complain about. The knives get a lot of use and stand up to it very well.

Excellent value

Pros

This knife holds its edge well, with a quick freshen up on a steel every few weeks, this remains very sharp, and after 3 years has not needed professional re-sharpening. Nice weight. An excellent value knife compared to the very expensive range.

Very good for the money

Pros

Selected on of these for my mother, after looking at all the useless knives she had in her kitchen. This is no Shun knife, however for the money it is excellent. Far far better then the Chinese made junk you see in most shops.

Makes preparation considerably quicker & easier

Pros

It does exactly what you'd hope for. I selected this over the top Consumer rated knife based on price & the fact that we aren't chefs so paying $300 for a knife seemed a bit much.

Very comfortable handle
Easy "action" when chopping
Very sharp - cuts so smoothly. The knife does all the work for you, as it should.
Nice & lightweight (some might prefer a weightier knife but this was a pro for me.)
Great value for money (I got ours for less than the price guide - look around)
Nice wide blade (useful for moving prepared ingredients)

Cons

Does not fit in standard knife block due to the extra "height" of the blade - no big deal, but something to consider.

Recommend it?

Yes, I recommend this product.
