I have a onecard visa card.
My understanding is that it's actually a GE product offered in partnership with Countdown.
My view is that onecard have a great rewards plan.
With this plan, you receive points for everything you spend on your onecard.
Each quarter you receive a voucher which you can redeem at Countdown.
You get more points if you spent at Countdown (which I rarely do).
The annual fee is around $65, waived in the first year.
I use the card for most purchases & receive vouchers for around $100 each quarter ($400 per year).
I also pay my balance in full each month to avoid interest fees.
Some of the negatives:
1. onecard are not available during the weekend or public holidays (e.g. if you want to query a transaction);
2. I've spotted a few anomalies on my onecard unbilled transactions list. These came right on the actual monthly statement though;
3. for the first time that I recall, I found a dodgy transaction on my card. To be fair, this may not be an issue attributable to onecard. And to their credit, the onecard folks removed the charge with no fuss.
I haven't studied the latest credit card products in any detail. However, I'd strongly recommend onecard.
Yes, I recommend this product.
