    1 teaspoon enough

    Pros

Minimal smell, cleans well, one 2L container lasts me a year.

    Cons

The recommended amount is far more than required.
1 level teaspoon is enough to make everything clean, and means it both lasts longer and there’s less chemical smell when I open the clean dishwasher.

    Recommend it?

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good for light loads

    Pros

    Environmentally friendly and smells better.
Cheaper per wash than the tablets and does good job of the lighter loads. So I use the Active tablets for the big heavy loads and some eco store powder for the easy washes.

    Cons

Not quite as effective as tablets

    Recommend it?

Maybe, it depends on what you're after.

    works well

    Pros

I bought this on the basis of some previous Consumer test:
    it cleans most things well
doesn't leave streaks when rinse aid used
I have no trouble with coffee stains
I like powder because the quantity can be adjusted to degree of dirt or for half full machine

    Cons

not good for heavily baked on stains

    Recommend it?

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Ecostore Dishwasher Powder

    Pros

Cleans well but could be better.
    Septic-tank friendly.
    Gentler on my skin.

    Cons

No rinse aid so glass is not as clear as it could be.
Gets a VERY LOW SCORE in the 2020 Consumer review vs the Ecostore tablets. Why? How has it dropped since the previous score? It doesn't work this bad for me.

    32% vs 93%

    Great product

    Pros

I find the Ecostore dishwasher power equally as good as the tablets. They clean the dishes well and glassware comes out sparkling. I particularly like that neither the Ecostore tablets or powder are tested on animals.

    Cons

    None.

    Recommend it?

    Yes, I recommend this product.
