Are there any good floor cleaners?
We’re dedicated to getting NZ consumers a fairer deal. We provide as much information as we can for free but we rely primarily on membership and donations to fund our work. You can help by becoming a Consumer member or making a donation. We’ll use your contribution to investigate consumer issues and work for positive change.
Our assessment is based on how well the cleaners perform at removing greasy dirt from a ceramic tile with a mechanical arm. Cleanliness is assessed by measuring reflectance before and after cleaning. The test is repeated 8 times and the results averaged.

Quality microfibre mops and cloths are designed to just use water. I buy Norwex or Enjo - these are both great brands for quality and environmentally friendly production.
Many of the cheaper microfibre products contain toxic dyes, formaldehyde in their composition and toxic waste water in their production process. The dollar savings for these companies are most important and no consideration for the environment is taken into account. Many companies outwardly promote their environmental policies and are unaware of the negative impact the poor quality cloths they use are creating.
Only the initial cost outlay - but there are often good specials to be had.
Yes, I recommend this product.
