    Overall score is based on:

    Fitness functions (30%). Assesses the accuracy and consistency of results from the step counter, distance tracker, heart rate monitor, altimeter and elevation tracker, where available.

    Smart functions (20%). Includes messaging, social media and calling functions, as well as voice recognition and ability to control your phone’s camera and music player.

    Ease of use (20%). Includes set-up, everyday usability, readability and comfort.

    Battery (15%). Includes battery life and recharge time.

    App (5%). Assesses the quality of the device’s app on Android and iOS.

    Features (5%). Assesses the breadth of features available, including fitness and smart functions.

    Build quality (5%). Includes scratch resistance, construction materials and whether the strap is replaceable.
