Good points

  • Good results in our beating (egg whites) test.
  • Very good results in our kneading (dough) test.
  • Controls are very easy to use.
  • Beaters and dough hooks are dishwasher safe.
  • Comes with a bowl cover.
  • Has a boost option.
  • Mixer head can be removed from the unit and used as a hand-held mixer.
  • Comparatively light weight.

But

  • Just OK results in our mixing (cake batter) test — a large amount of the batter was left unmixed.
  • No splashguard.
  • No whisk, paddle-beater or scraper-beater attachments.
  • The mixer head “jolts” during kneading (which can make the mixer move).
  • Bowl isn’t dishwasher safe.
