Inflight noise cancelling works well - this is my main reason for purchase.
They are also very comfortable to wear for long periods. (Have had experience of other expensive over ear noise cancelling headphones being uncomfortable).
I was desperate for a review of this model a few months ago while I was researching noise cancelling headphones before an overseas trip, as they are expensive, so I had to take a leap of faith. While they worked well for inflight noise cancelling I also use these in my open plan workplace to attempt to drown out very loud work colleagues. I have found I also need to have some quiet background classical music playing as well as the noise cancelling to keep the workplace noise to a minimum!
Cannot really comment on music quality as my purpose was noise cancelling.
Maybe, it depends on what you're after.
