Pros:
Looks good when new.
Cons:
The plastic surface degrades and gives off a plastic odour. The water gauge is inaccurate and poorly placed to read when filling.
It is VERY noisy.
The wide base makes it very difficult to pour from when the water level is low.
Our kettle's plastic water gauge window split open while I was pouring water from it. I got a minor scald, but a major scare. It was only 3 years old (our previous Russel Hobbs lasted for over 30 years).

Pros:
This in my opinion is a modern design classic (in white). The facets, handle and spout are superb. In fact, if I didn't need it to boil water, I'd be happy to keep it on my bench permanently. It's not that noisy, and best of all, has a matching toaster, which we bought in black to contrast for a showhome kitchen. Stunning to look at, apalling to own... see below.
Cons:
We owned this kettle about 3 1/2 years. Half a year into it water began dribbling out of the base, all over the electric base and our bench. Surprisingly, it never electrocuted me or blew the circuit breakers for the remaining three years. Then the translucent water gauge under the handle became brittle and cracked, scalding my knuckles. So if plasticisers leached from the kettle, they must have been filtered by our kidneys. Now we need another jug. But it's still current and looks so stylish....as George W Bush said "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice... we don't get Trumped again."

As far as I know it only comes in white or black.

Pros:
Brought it for its colour (blue) as it matches the kitchen, its design and the fact that it was a Do Longhi.
Cons:
Its really noisy to the point where the rules of our house are that you can only put the jug on during commercial breaks!!!
