Good points

  • Moderately quick at getting to the boil.
  • The on/off switch (at the handle’s base) is easy to use.
  • The water can be poured in a nice even stream.

But

  • Noisy.
  • It’s not that easy to fill (getting the lid off and on requires noticeable effort).
  • The indicator lights are very dim.
  • Towards the end of pouring the jug has to be tilted to an angle that doesn’t feel comfortable.
  • The filter is very difficult to remove and replace.

How we test

Overall score is made up of:
Ease of use (40%)
Noise (40%)
Boiling performance (10%)
Energy efficiency (10%)

Noise was assessed midway through boiling-up and from 1m away. A higher score means less noise.

Price is based on an October 2017 price survey.
