*Unlike Consumer's review, I don't find the kettle unbalanced but it's likely to feel more hefty to use than the narrow styles of kettles. I find it pours very well as described.
*The body of this kettle is double skinned so even with the water at boiling temperature inside, you can safely touch the exterior. The insulation also means it retains its temperature well after switching off.
*Variable temperature setting is a breeze and reliable.
*Unlike other kettles, this product has a very hefty base which is great and doesn't walk around the bench when you are placing the kettle back in position
*Even though the lid wouldn't be any smaller than other kettles, I find filling the kettle awkward. Additionally, I would like there to be a gauge inside the kettle to mark the max fill point. Yes, there is a clear gauge on the outside, but it's a pain to look at while filling. In saying that, the bend in the temperature probe is at the point of maximum fill, so there is an ad-hoc marker.
*Unarguably, this is a very expensive kettle at NZ RRP. I love the candy apple red exterior which is of a quality acceptable if applied to a car and it's an upgrade over our retired Breville Smart kettle.
Yes, I recommend this product.
