This well-priced Kmart Anko hard case passed our lift and drop test with just a few scuffs and had excellent puncture resistance. It had good rain resistance and testers found it very easy to move and carry, but it was more prone to tipping over than other cases. It has a very comfortable extendable handle and is relatively light for a hard-shell case, but it doesn’t have a side carry-handle. The zipper has locking tabs, but you’ll need to supply your own lock. It’s the only case tested that meets Air New Zealand and Jetstar carry-on bag requirements.
Our overall assessment comprises 50% performance (lift/drop, puncture and rain testing) and 50% ease of use.
