Good points

  • Very fast boiling time.
  • OK to use.
  • Balanced if held by both sides of the pan (but unbalanced if held with one hand).
  • Pouring is easy (lip around top of saucepan means less chance of dripping).
  • Has support handle if two hands needed to pour.
  • Has measurement grading in the pan.
  • Oven safe.

But

  • Support handles have no non-slip grips.
  • Steam escapes from around the lid and can rattle it.
  • Stainless-steel lid may become dangerously hot.

How we test

Overall score is the overall ease of use score. This is made up of:

Balance and weight (25%)
Handle comfort (25%)
Steam control (25%)
Ease of pouring (25%)

We also tested how long each saucepan took to boil one litre of water, how hot the handles and lid knobs became during cooking, and how easy they were to clean.
