Purchased to go with a large screen Sony TV and to get rid of the "clutter" of speakers and amp etc of the hifi (Linn). So aesthetics played more of a part in the decision than sound but reasonably pleased with the sound, had a demo in the Sony shop first (they had a sale on so got it for less than $1,000). Very easy to set up with TV and all comes on with the touch of one button so don't agree with the "OK" to use - with a Sony TV and Bluray player it's very, very, easy to use. Don't need the remote usually (see cons), all off main TV remote. Very happy, works well, but not hifi!
Sound gets out of sync with TV from time to time - quite annoying. It varies - there is an adjustment option but fiddly and doesn't last. Found a button on the sound bar remote that does reset it so now easier to fix. Can go for weeks without needing adjustment then for days it slides in and out - quite frustrating! And it was expensive, even on sale, but the best of the Sony bars and the convenience and performance makes it worth it to me.
Yes, I recommend this product.
