Overall score includes:
To test performance, we put spiralised courgettes, carrots and kumara. For models that could, we spiralised apples but didn’t include it in our final score because not all models had this feature.
For each vegetable, we rated the appearance of the spirals based on evenness, length, whether the strands separated properly and whether strands broke during spiralising.
Our ease of use assessment looked at: stability on the workbench or in the hand, changing/assembling the blades, ease of storing blades, operating the levers/cranks, comfort during use, ease of cleaning and safety features.

The best, most user friendly, quickest way to spiralise all veg. I often do courgettes, kumara, potato and carrot. Have even done beetroot. The manual hand twisty spiralisers are just gimmicks and frustrating to use. This quality Kenwood spiraliser is worth spending the money on after I have tossed away 2 other manual hand spiralisers. You can often get this Kenwood spiraliser on special at Noel Leeming over the public holiday sales. Love the bowl that captures all the spiralised veg, as well as all the many blade options. I use this spiraliser at least 4 times a week.
None, having battled with the manual hand spiralisers - the Kenwood spiraliser is fantastic!
Yes, I recommend this product.
