I loved my steam mop and found it so much easier to use than a regular bucket and mop. It had a long cord, got hot quickly, was simple to use and fill, had a large tank and worked for ages. It does clean dried on stains better than a bucket and mop. Just run the mop over the dry spill then come back a minute later and it will probably lift (if it doesn't wait another minute). I also had white marks on my wood floors but I think these may be from the heat damaging the finish. To prevent these I never let the mop rest on my wood floor while it was hot.
The biggest con was that the plastic case rubbed the cord and wore through it causing the unit to short out. Another con was that it did leak from the valve in the tank which often left more water on the floor. It was also not very good at getting into corners and along edges.
Maybe, it depends on what you're after.

Easy and quick to put into use. Not cumbersome although cable is thick and stiff and often gets in the way. Generally pleased with it.
Lays down white patches on our wooden floors which are very difficult to remove. Information booklet mentions this as calcium deposits which should disappear with the application of vinegar or continued steaming until stains disappear. This doesn't work very well and it takes a lot of buffing and fiddling around to clear the marks.
Yes, I recommend this product.
