We’re impressed with the two WashSmart front-loaders on test: the WashSmart WH8560P2 (8.5kg) and WH7560P2 (7.5kg). Their dirt removal performance is very good, but they really shined in the noise test: at 54dBA and 55dBA they’re two of the quietest front-loaders we’ve tested.
Our test is based on the standard AS/NZS 2040:1998, and was completed using machines filled with 3.5kg loads.
Overall score includes:
Dirt removal (50%): Calculated according to a formula in the standard, which reduces the score in proportion to the variability of dirt removal over a range of test swatches in the wash load.
Water efficiency (10%): Based on the amount of water used in the whole cycle, per kg of clothes.
Rinse performance (20%): Based on the amount of detergent residues after rinsing.
Spin efficiency (10%): Calculated from the amount of water remaining (per kg) in the damp clothes.
Gentleness (10%): Calculated from the amount of wear on easily frayed squares of cloth.
Noise (dBA) is the loudest reading (spin).
Wash cycle time (min) is the normal or regular cycle on the cold setting.
Annual running cost ($) assumes one “normal” wash cycle per day and electricity at 26c/kWh.
Price is from a December 2018 survey.

I like all the options that this machine offers, quick loads, hot or cold water wash, add clothes after starting load, drum clean. So quiet!
Only problem is door is low when you are older. Have seen an option in Australia with a drawer underneath which makes it maching higher. Also good for storage.

Only ever had one other washing machine (F&P GW601), which lasted 22 years! This new one is supremely quiet, even when spinning at 1400rpm. Washes very well, with several spin speed options.
Contrary to Consumer data, has a "Handwash" cycle, which manual states is specifically for woollens. This cycle uses more water than others, a smaller load and low spin speed. Works absolutely fine.
Low water usage, great for summer when we regularly face water restrictions.
The ONLY BRAND suitable for LOW WATER PRESSURE - F&P machines are the only ones which allow 30psi.
Excellent time delay function.
Capacity is larger than my toploader was, yet I can't fit as much into the machine as previously.
After only 10 days of use, I have noticed more pilling on previously undamaged items. With a full load, this is exacerbated owing to the fabrics rubbing against each other all the time. The toploader used more water and had less friction between items, so was gentler on clothes.
Cycle time is a lot longer than for toploader.
Maybe, it depends on what you're after.

Very quiet. It does have a Handwash option for Woolens. Excellent results, very effective spin dry, and Add Garment feature works well.
Yes, I recommend this product.
