When we asked our testers which router they’d buy after this test, they said the Synology. It has excellent security and fibre speeds. The router is very good at channel switching and its 5GHz network is excellent. It has four external antennas and is fairly large, which means it may not fit with your décor.

Synology
Pros
It works well and reliably when closer to the router.
Cons
The range isn’t great. My internet connection frequently drops out when I’m using a device in a room about 12 metres from the router. I have a single story older wooden house. That is extremely irritating and at that price I expected better.
Recommend it?
Maybe, it depends on what you're after.
