We are here because of you
Consumer NZ is an independent, non-profit organisation established in 1959 dedicated to getting New Zealanders a fairer deal. We do not receive government funding, so rely on membership fees to allow us to continue our work.

Consumer Advice Line
Our advice line provides guidance on any consumer-related issue. Our expert advisers can explain your rights or guide you if you have a problem with a retailer or service provider.
Our advocacy work
Our campaigning and advocacy work ensures a fair deal for all New Zealanders and we’re increasing this work to make sure the consumer voice is not only heard but acted on.
