Caution with this product

Pros

Does a pretty good job most of the time

Cons

Our F&p dishwasher rusted out in 4 years. We're told this product damages the seals. No satisfactory answer from ECOSTORE so we are not using it in the replacement machine

Greenwash tablets!

Cons

They extract more $ from your wallet to make you think you are saving the planet. That Polar Bear on the box is so cute! - why didn't they show it chomping a seal's head off? - but it looks good in the cupboard when you show it to your friends :)

Not disappointed

Pros

Does what it says on the packet and does not seem to have any detrimental effects on the septic tank. We do not use a rinse aid even though it is recommended by Eco Store if our water is hard, which it is at pH 9.4.

As previous member commented, we tend to purchase a few packets when on special and only use machine every 2 or 3 days.

Our dishwasher is a Bosch and about 2 years old.

Great product

Pros

The low rating from the April reivew I think is the result of a typo in the latest scoring (check this out Consumer!). Look at the rice starch score - maybe it's been transposed from 71 to 17? This is a great product I've used for years and it is highly effective at cleaning all types of food (including rice starch!) as well as being environmentally awesome.

Pros

This used to be the top-rated "eco" brand, I'm puzzled it has slipped to the bottom and even below the same brand's powder. I've used it for years and it performs well. It's pretty obvious that results depend on your dishwasher and your kitchen practices, not just the detergent. I use a tiny amount of water to rinse dishes before loading them in the dishwasher and have a Miele machine. My priority is the safest product for me, my worm-based black and greywater system and the environment in general. I want a minimum of chemicals and the least harmful versions. Very happy with this product.
