Tracking New Zealanders’ opinions on a range of issues, the Sentiment Tracker is a nationally representative study.
What do New Zealanders think about the housing market? How do they feel about the state of the economy? Who feels more comfortable about their savings – males or females?
Designed by Consumer NZ and conducted by Dynata, the sentiment tracker grows by 1000 respondents every three months. Tracking everything from environmental awareness and financial sentiment to general levels of trust for major industries – it looks to provide a holistic understanding of how New Zealanders feel about a range of issues.
The data presented is a summary of findings, but only represents a small portion of the full survey.
This study is an online survey based on a nationally representative sample of the New Zealand population. Results are weighted by age, gender and region based on Stats NZ data. Respondents are sourced from an external panel provider, Dynata, and completed the survey between 15 and 28 June 2021. Subsequent surveys will be run quarterly with at least 1000 respondents.
