There are some bargains at The Warehouse, but our testing has found there are also some ‘don’t buys’, as we call them. We give a product a ‘don’t buy’ label when it does terribly in the test lab.

Here are 3 to steer clear of at The Warehouse.

Living & Co capsule coffee machine CM-C01

Living & Co capsule coffee machine CM-C01

Price: $89

The price might be right but, unfortunately, the coffee this little capsule machine makes tastes very wrong. Our expert tasting panel rated the coffee terrible, and the machine got our second-worst overall score out of 71 machines. It is still possible to get a cheap capsule machine that makes good coffee – just not that cheap. For a list of our favourites, check out our espresso machine test results.

Living & Co basic hard suitcase 70cm

Price: $89

The quality of your suitcase can make or break your trip, and we think taking this one on holiday is too risky. We usually drop suitcases from a 90cm height 300 times to test their durability – this one only lasted 20 drops before it cracked. After 100 drops, all its wheels were unusable. You can find one that’s more durable in our luggage test.

Living & Co classic saucepan 20cm/2.5L

Price: $19

This cheap saucepan is one of two we’ve made a ‘don’t buy’. It earned that status because it cooks unevenly and takes a long time to boil. Don’t think you have to spend a lot to get a top saucepan though – for around the same price as this Living & Co one, you can get our favourite saucepan.
