  • How we test

Here's how we find out what’s your best option for wrinkle-free clothes.

Overall score breakdown

Overall score is made up of:

Performance (70%)

We test how well each model smooths out creases in organza, silk, wool, cotton, denim and linen.

Ease of use (30%)

We assess how easy it is to fill the water tank, use the steam and spray functions, and adjust the temperature. We also assess how comfortable the handle is, how long the cord is, and how easy the iron is to move on fabric.
