Survey prize draw terms and conditions

By participating in our survey, you agree to these prize draw terms and conditions.

Entry into the prize draw is automatic. Anyone who has completed a survey before midnight (New Zealand time) on the specified survey closing date will be entered into the prize draw. If no closing date is specified the prize draw will be open to anyone who has completed the survey before it is closed. You will not be entered into the prize draw if you do not meet the eligibility criteria for the survey or do not complete the survey. Consumer NZ employees are not eligible to be entered in the draw.

Winners can only win one prize per draw. The prize(s) will be determined by Consumer NZ and specified in the invitation to participate in the survey.

If a prize consists of a Consumer membership and the winner already has a membership, the prize membership will be queued so that it takes effect from the end of the current membership term.

The prize draw will take place at Consumer NZ within 10 business days of the survey closing date. We will notify the winners by email or phone within 5 business days of the prize draw taking place. If we cannot contact the winner after three reasonable attempts, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.

Consumer NZ's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not exchangeable or refundable.

Consumer NZ reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or modify, suspend or terminate a prize draw at any time. We will endeavour to only make changes after the completion of a prize draw but this may not be possible in all circumstances.

By accepting a prize, winners consent to Consumer NZ’s use of the winner’s name and city/town/region for advertising and promotional purposes. Consumer NZ may also contact winners to request further publicity including, but not limited to, comments, photographs and/or videos.

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Consumer NZ will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of participation in this prize draw.

All personal information will be stored securely and in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy.
