Sunscreens

We aren’t testing sunscreens this summer. Sunscreens sold in New Zealand are now regulated under the Sunscreen (Product Safety Standard) Act and must meet the Australian and New Zealand sunscreen standard, which has requirements for independent testing.

While we’re still campaigning for regular mandatory sunscreen testing we’ve developed a sunscreen database, to help you decide which sunscreen to buy.

Awful
Pros

Nothing this year! - 2025
Expiry November 2026.

Cons

I used this last year on both my grand children and myself,(2024) no issues..
This year 2025, it was thick and greasy.
The lotion took forever to rub on/in, the greasy feel simply did not go away.
It clung to everything and even after the 20 min wait from application time it
was oily feeling and still on the surface of our skins with little or no absorption.
I am now on the hunt for the Sunblock that doesn't do all the things this one does!

Recommend it?

No, this product has too many drawbacks.
