Our test is based on the standard AS/NZS 2040:1998, and was completed using machines filled with 3.5kg loads.
Overall score includes:
Dirt removal (50%): Calculated according to a formula in the standard, which reduces the score in proportion to the variability of dirt removal over a range of test swatches in the wash load.
Water efficiency (10%): Based on the amount of water used in the whole cycle, per kg of clothes.
Rinse performance (20%): Based on the amount of detergent residues after rinsing.
Spin efficiency (10%): Calculated from the amount of water remaining (per kg) in the damp clothes.
Gentleness (10%): Calculated from the amount of wear on easily frayed squares of cloth.

See through lid - could only be improved by multi-colour LEDs lighting up the inside :-)
Manual override and setting to override on Fuzzy settings - heavy manually increase Wash/Rinse/Spin. Good manual control.
Great value - pay no more than $599NZD
The washer does not have Heavy Wash cycle, (set manually)
The machine will always wash out powder with cold may not fully dissolve some powders.
The lint trap has a hinge of folded plastic that will likely break after a year or two.
The load size sensor does not always detect the correct amount of water (shorts the amount required) so may need to manually override.
Relatively noisy, and comparatively slow cycle times for a top loader
Air-turbo is is a gimmick and takes longer than dryer time to get equivalent dryness
2 Year factory warranty is minimalist - reasonably expect W/M to last 10+ years
Yes, I recommend this product.

Again, Miele is the stand-out brand in our survey. Last year, 84 percent of Miele owners were very satisfied with their washing machine. This year, the figure has grown to 92 percent. That must be helped by the brand achieving 97 percent reliability.
LG and Fisher & Paykel are the other brands to have above-average reliability, scoring 92 percent and 89 percent respectively. LG also scored highly for satisfaction, third of all brands behind Miele and Bosch.
