Overall score includes:

Taste (60%): We assessed crema colour and thickness as well as the coffee's aroma, flavour, mouth-feel and aftertaste.
Ease of use (20%): Based on convenience of water container and filter, controls, exterior cleaning and operating the unit.
Milk frothing (15%): Evaluated froth quality and ease of using the frothing mechanism.
Temperature consistency (5%): Assessed consistency of temperature across four cups of coffee.

Machines without milk frothing have been scored appropriately so their performance is comparable to other models tested.
